Arvest in Overland Park, Kan. Hosting E-Waste Recycling Drive and Cookout

Mark your calendars! Arvest Bank at 7401 W. 135th St., Overland Park, Kan., is partnering with RecycleWorks to host an e-waste recycling drive and cookout on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the event, you may drop off old, broken, obsolete, unwanted or unused electronics which will be recycled domestically by certified third-party facilities that properly handle 100 percent of the materials.

Small electronics and cords can be recycled at no cost to you. Examples include:

  • Audio/visual equipment
  • Batteries
  • Cameras
  • Cell phones
  • Home theatre equipment
  • Microwaves
  • MP3 players/iPods
  • Palm pilots/PDAs
  • Satellite TV dishes and equipment
  • Stereos
  • Telephones
  • Toner and ink cartridges
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Wires/power cords/cables

The e-waste recycling services will be provided by RecycleWorks,* a locally owned and operated company that provides businesses with affordable recycling services. Fees apply to some items like the following:

In conjunction with the recycling drive we’ll also have a cookout. Come hungry and enjoy complimentary hot dogs and chips!
