Arvest Bank associates made the holidays a little brighter for residents at the Prairie Grove Healthcare and Rehabilitationcenter in Arkansas by delivering Christmas gifts before the holiday.

Arvest associates from Arkansas branches in Farmington, Lincoln, Prairie Grove and West Fork saved nearly $3,000 last year by donating money each Friday to wear jeans to work. They used the money to buy Christmas gifts for recipients of human service organizations in Washington County in Arkansas.

Associates, along with a big-hearted Santa, paid a surprise visit to the Prairie Grove Healthcare and Rehabilitation center on Dec. 21, delivering gift bags to residents and spreading holiday cheer.

“It’s something we do every year, and Santa accompanies us,” said Pam Coyle, vice president and loan officer of Arvest in Farmington, who helped organize the effort. “These are important members of our community, and we get a lot of joy from giving back.”
