Want to make a difference in someone’s day...year...life?

Every year, KLRC 101.1FM, a local Northwest Arkansas radio station, has sponsored a campaign called “Pay It Forward.” This year, the campaign started October 23 and runs through November 23.  Listeners are encouraged to make a difference in lives of others through small, unexpected acts of kindness. In past years, listeners have called in and shared stories about paying the bill for the person behind them in the fast-food line, helping an elderly neighbor purchase their prescriptions or secretly raking a neighbor’s leaves. Some tales have simply made a stranger’s day, while others have truly influenced both the giver’s and receiver’s lives in a larger, more meaningful way.

Once again, Arvest Bank in Northwest Arkansas is the proud sponsor of “Pay It Forward."* As part of the annual campaign, KLRC and Arvest are rewarding nine KLRC listeners with $101 to help them make a difference in the life of a family member, friend, or even a complete stranger. Listeners are encouraged to go to the KLRC website* to submit their names in a drawing for a chance to win $101 Two winners are announced on-air each Monday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, each of the first three weeks of the campaign. On the fourth week, three winners will be drawn. Each winner is asked to call back on Friday of the week they win to share how they used the money to impact someone’s life.

In addition, each year Arvest Bank schedules a special “Pay It Forward Day” when Arvest associates will go out into their communities to look for various ways to “Pay It Forward.”  This year's date is Wednesday, November 14.

Also, on November 16, KLRC will host radio remote broadcasts at three Arvest locations to collect winter clothing for 7Hills Homeless Center.

Each instance — no matter how small — impacts Northwest Arkansas in a positive way.

Arvest Bank and KLRC would like to encourage you to look for ways that you can “Pay It Forward” today.  Have you paid it forward to someone or has someone done so for you? Share it here in the comments!
